Let's be honest, being a "turbo" probably makes it worth less in their eyes, because it might be harder to sell or more likely to be dead on arrival.

yeah maybe, I live in Australia too so it's not a totally fair comparison.
The guy I bought it off had it up for sale for 6 months so they're not the quickest sellers that's for sure.

I assume they operate the same in the US as the UK, which means that although they will buy any car, they'll only buy a lot of cars if some idiot wants to sell at silly prices.
They really only buy bog-standard stuff in bog-standard condition for proper prices, but at that level they're pretty competitive taking into account the speed and ease of sale.
